I am a big fan of the high-waisted look, and swimsuits are no exception. High-waist bikinis are a stylish way to hide that extra tummy fat, elongate your legs, and even protect your skin from the sun without having to wear a traditional one-piece. The best thing is that high-waist bikinis flatter just about every body so anyone can wear them! And given all the benefits I just talked about, you need to be wearing one!
Finding a flattering bikini is not always that easy, especially if you are feeling self-conscious about a certain part of your body, like your stomach, hips, or butt. However, a high-waisted bikini is always a great option to cover one of those areas you aren’t ready to share with the rest of the people by the pool. Because they sit high on your waist they can instantly make your waist appear smaller, your legs longer and your butt and hips curvier (in a flattering way, of course).
A high-waist bikini is also a great alternative to a one-piece swimsuit. You may not want to go as conservative as a one-piece. A high-waist bikini, especially one that is extra high, can be as comfortable as wearing a one-piece. It can even cover almost as much skin. Most high-waist bikinis also come in a wider variety of prints and styles than a one-piece swimsuit does. In addition, a high-waist bikini still gives you the option to mix and match your top and bottom, which a one-piece will never let you do.

Leith High-Waist Swimwear
Leith is one of my favorite brands that I love to shop online at Nordstrom. This brand is extremely affordable and they make really cute clothes without sacrificing quality. I have been wearing their simple and comfortable bodycon dresses for years. Their dresses come in multiple variations and colors, as well. I tend to buy more than one color because they are so flattering! Now I can say that about their swimsuits too!
I recently discovered they also offer swimwear, and I am in love with their high-waisted bikinis. I really love a high-waist bikini with cut-out siding. It’s a great option if you have some belly fat to hide, but you still want to show-off your legs and butt. As I said, they tend to make their pieces in multiple prints, colors and variations. I found the same basic black cut-out bikini in a fun and flirty floral version. These are perfect for wearing on a beach vacation!
Leaf Print High-Waist Bikinis
Leaf prints are trending right now, and swimwear is no exception. Nothing says summer like a bold leaf print! High-Waist Bikinis with a Bow
You know I love a flirty look, and that includes my swimsuits too. I found these high-waist bikinis with a bow detail at the waist. The bow adds a girly and cute detail to an otherwise basic bottom. The bottoms I found below are so cute that I had to share them.

The bow tie knotted bottom in that fun coral / red color is a very flirty look, especially paired with the off the shoulder top. I can imagine wearing this with a leopard print sandal to really bring out the color and fun factor.
I love how a basic black bottom with a white bow coordinates with a bold black and white colorblock top. Go Retro with a Polka Dot Bikini
A high-waist bikini is can also become very retro looking, especially when it comes in a polka dot print. The polka dot print is also a great way to distract the eye from any problem areas you may be trying to cover up.
You can try a bikini set that is a polka dot print on both the top and bottom. Make it even more retro looking by wearing it in a candy red and adding a high wedge sandal.
Another option is to mix and match the top and bottom. Try a bikini top in a different color from the bottom for an effortless chic look.
Try your polka dot bikini with a pair of cat-eye sunglasses to really take your retro look up a notch!
