Trifecta: Overall, Trifecta is more focused on chef-curated meals that are specific to your diet, whether it be paleo, clean, or high protein, etc. Trifecta caters to more meal types so it’s customized to different types of meal goals. Their service is subscription-based.

Megafit Meals: Megafit Meals, on the other hand, is more focused on high-protein meals that are bought in packs. You also are able to curate your own meal packs, so you can choose what you receive. No subscription is necessary.

If you are looking for a true meal service, with a variety of meal types, then Trifecta will provide that wider assortment of meals, whereas Megafit Meals really only caters to those wanting high protein meals.

Most meal services are worth trying. Depending on what you are looking for, either can be the right meal service for you. Trifecta is more of a true meal service in that it offers a variety of meal types, for almost anyone. However, you aren’t able to select the meals, so you won’t know what you’re going to get. Megafit meals is better suited if you want high protein meals and want to choose your own meals. Keep reading for more details on each of these meal services.

Tastiness of Food

Megafit Meals: Based on my experience with both of these meal services, I found that Megafit Meals’ food to be better made and tastier. Also, because you can choose the meals you get sent with Megafit Meals, you are much more likely to like everything you get.

Trifecta: Because you can’t choose what you get with Trifecta, you definitely have to be open to all different flavors of food, as they usually sent a variety of flavors, as you can read in my Trifecta Clean Meal Plan review.

While Megafit Meals primarily caters to customers that want high-protein meals, they let you pick what you get, ensuring that you’ll love every meal that you pay for, and they are tasty.

Cost

Megafit Meals: With Megafit Meals, you will pay per meal. Meals come in a pack of 12, 16, 20, or 28. You must buy a minimum of 12 in your order. Meal prices vary, and you can choose meals priced from $10 to $15.95, with the average cost of most single meals being $14.95 each.

At the highest price of $15.95 per meal, a pack of 12 will cost $191.40. With $30 off your first order, you will only pay $161.40, or $13.45 / meal.

However, from my experience after your first order, Megafit Meals will send you sales for 25% off meals where you can stock up on meals until the next sale. At 25% off, the $15.95 meals come to only $11.96 per meal.

Trifecta: With Trifecta, you buy meals per week. Depending on the meal plan, you will pay the following prices. Using the highest prices, at $157.99 per week for 10 meals, you are paying $15.79 per meal. With the 40% off referral code, your first order will result in paying $9.48 / meal which is a great deal.

Trifecta: Trifecta has pretty mixed reviews online. Overall, they have positive reviews for their excellent customer service, but negative reviews due mostly to missing the cancellation or skip date, requiring customers to be locked in to another week of meals.

Megafit Meals: Megafit Meals are pretty positive overall, especially around the taste of the food. While customers mentioned the high cost, they do say it’s worth it.

I definitely give both of these meal services positive reviews based on my experiences, and agree with the feedback above.

Who I Recommend These Meal Services For

In the comparison of Megafit Meals vs. Trifecta, Megafit Meals wins in most categories. 

Megafit Meals: While Megafit Meals is primarily high-protein focused, the flexibility to choose your own meals, and the tastiness of make this the better choice, specifically if you want high-protein meals. 

I also recommend Megafit Meals as a must try if you are looking for a “buy when you want” model instead of a subscription service. Megafit Meals are perfect for keeping in your freezer, and pulling out a meal whenever you want. 

While Megafit Meals is costly, after your first order, they regularly offer 25% off sales where you can stock up on meals until the next sale.

Trifecta: I recommend Trifecta if you want an affordable meal service and you have a special diet as Trifecta caters to many different meal types (e.g.; paleo, vegan, clean, high protein, etc.). You do have to sign up for a subscription, but it’s easy to skip weeks (you just have to remember to do this).
